GASTONIA, N.C. — A gas station clerk was robbed at knifepoint this week in Gastonia, and now police are looking for the person they believe is responsible.
Gastonia police say just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, a person walked into the Kingsway on W. Garrison Boulevard, went behind the counter and showed the clerk a knife, and demanded cash.
Channel 9′s Coleman Montgomery obtained security video from the gas station on Wednesday. The video shows a person walking through the parking lot of the gas station and into the store. The suspect then walks behind the counter and takes the cash before running away on foot.
Gastonia police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 704-861-8000.
