CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Less than 24 hours after Channel 9 showed a video of an 18-wheeler blowing by a stopped school bus in Concord, the school district decided to move the stop to a safer place.
Jarett Marlin usually doesn't get to pick up his second-grader from the school bus in the afternoon.
When he got the opportunity to meet his son at the bus stop in Cabarrus County, he wanted to capture the moment on cellphone video.
"I was just going to Snapchat his reaction of me being here and caught the 18-wheeler going past the bus," Marlin said.
The big rig drove right by the stopped school bus as it was letting off students and the incident was caught on video.

"He never tried to stop, slow down or anything," Marlin said.
The father said it happens all the time.
Channel 9 was at the bus stop Tuesday and our cameras captured three vehicles that did not heed the bus’s stop signals and sign.
"Yeah, it’s pretty concerning,” Marlin said. “Like I said, I don’t want a car to go by on the right-hand side. Hopefully, they won't, and hit a kid or hit the bus itself while they’re getting off."
The bus stop was originally located on Highway 29 directly across from the Charlotte Motor Speedway, but has been moved to the intersection of Morehead Road and Aarick Lane.
