CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A customer said he is lucky to be alive after a car crashed into a popular south Charlotte store.
The sedan slammed into Infinity’s End on South Boulevard in the middle of the day on Saturday.
“It sounded like a bomb went off,” customer Keith Lawrence said. “That's what I thought it was.”
An employee was under the car and Lawrence pulled him out.
“I see him trying to get out,” Lawrence said. “He's about halfway, but (the driver is) going forward again, so I reached out and yanked him out.”
The 28-year-old female driver, who police said was not experienced behind the wheel, has not been charged.
Channel 9 contacted the employee and he said he is OK. His attorney said he cannot comment about the incident.
