A Union County man has been charged after police said he boarded a school bus with children on it and confronted the bus driver Friday afternoon.
A student on the bus recorded the confrontation on a cell phone. It shows Jason Garcia, 42, yelling and cursing at the driver.
Police said Garcia, of Indian Trail, is charged with willfully trespassing upon or impeding the progress of a school bus and disorderly conduct on a school bus.
“Boarding a school bus to confront a bus driver is not the way to handle the situation. Children should not have to witness this kind of behavior from parents,” Union County Sheriff Eddie Cathey said.
