The inspector general released a report on Monday that outlined how millennials use the postal service. In the report, millennials are defined as adults age 18 to 34.
The report found less than half of millennials check their mail at least six days a week.
To increase engagement with this age group, the report found that the post office can enhance convenience and increase customization.
The agency suggested adding self-service kiosks at places where millennials frequent more often and online services that allow people to customize envelopes and stamps.
