CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Earl’s Grocery is starting off the new year with expanded offerings.
The 7,800-square-foot urban grocery store at 1609 Elizabeth Ave. recently debuted new menu offerings, including family meals, and launched delivery from its store.
“I think our business is about to take a leap,” says Bonnie Warford.
She owns Earl’s with sister Tricia Maddrey.
That progress was possible, in part, thanks to a $40,000 grant from the Charlotte Center City Small Business Innovation Fund. Funds were used to purchase freezers, a meat cooler and cover electrical upgrade costs. That will allow the grocery to carry additional items as it continues to gain its footing.
