CHARLOTTE — Comedy, food, craft beer and cocktails collide as Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse expands its uptown footprint.
The Comedy Club at Duckworth’s will debut at that 15,000-square-foot establishment on Jan. 9. Expect the venue — tucked into the second floor — to host a mix of up-and-coming talent alongside well-known comedians from both local and national circuits.
Plans call for a weekly national headliner to perform, with supporting comedians from local and regional markets performing a 15- to 20-minute set ahead of the headliner. Weekend performances will be hosted by a local comic serving as the emcee. Opening weekend will feature comedian Leah Rudick, with support from Liz Barlow and Genius Jones.
