CHARLOTTE — The nearly 110-year-old Latta Arcade in uptown Charlotte is getting a new name and a major facelift.
Chicago-based Northpond Partners announced plans this week to completely overhaul the 23,000-square-foot retail property. Work is underway now to restore the historic character of the two-story art deco building, now called The Alley at Latta Arcade.
Northpond’s vision for the building is to create a new and improved food and beverage destination.
Northpond bought the building at 320 S. Tryon St. from Northwood Retail in March 2020, according to previous CBJ reporting. Northpond paid $7.5 million for the property.
