CHARLOTTE — Noi Vong wants to be disruptive when it comes to Charlotte’s nightlife.
His luxury Bazal Gallery & Nightclub opens this weekend at the Avid Xchange Music Factory. The focus is on providing an exclusive experience and fresh take on nightlife on par with cities such as New York.
“Let’s put Charlotte on the map. I’m tired of hearing about it in other places,” he says. “We need culture.”
The entertainment industry veteran — also behind QC Social in uptown — says Bazal has been three years in the making, as he juggled everything from Covid-related delays to labor challenges. He’s invested close to $2 million to transform the space.

“Finally, it’s coming to fruition,” he says.

Expect the two-level space — formerly home to Butter nightclub — to draw inspiration from museums and art galleries, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
