CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UPS employees were taken to the hospital Friday night after they became sick at a distribution hub at 1600 Cottonwood St. in Charlotte, a UPS spokesperson said.
The employees said there was an unusual smell in an empty trailer that was being prepared for loading.
Two employees were taken to the hospital for observation, according emergency officials.
There is no impact on service or the hub, the spokesperson said.
UPS is working with authorities to investigate this situation that the Charlotte Fire Department called a HAZMAT situation.
