The coach of that team was a wealthy former hedge fund manager named Biff Poggi. The same Biff Poggi who went on to become Jim Harbaugh’s top lieutenant with the Michigan Wolverines in 2021 and 2022 before he was hired as UNC Charlotte’s head football coach.
This week, Poggi, on the eve of his debut season, revealed a few details about an upcoming documentary series coming in September about the Charlotte 49ers football program.
David Ravin, president and CEO of locally based development, construction and property management firm Northwood Ravin, is executive producer of the documentary project, Poggi said.
