CHARLOTTE — UnitedHealthcare members who use CaroMont Health are getting some good news.
Action 9′s Jason Stoogenke found out both sides have worked out a deal with just days to spare.
Their current contract was up on April 1. After that, United members would have had to pay out-of-network at many CaroMont facilities or find new doctors.

However, the parties agreed to terms through March 31, 2025. This means those patients will remain in-network with no disruption in their service.
Patients who got United specifically through their employer and use any of the CaroMont facilities listed below, would have had to pay out-of-network prices for everything service there, or would they would have had to switch doctors.
The following were the affected CaroMont facilities:
- Regional Medical Center
- Regional Medical Center-Mount Holly
- Cancer Center
- Lincoln Cancer Center
- Outpatient Surgery
- A few others
