UNC’s Kenan-Flagler MBA program coming to uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — UNC Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School finally has a Charlotte home: Legacy Union on South Tryon Street, where the inaugural class of the new executive MBA program will begin classes this fall.

The arrival of Kenan-Flagler’s MBA program marks the culmination of a years-long lobbying effort by Charlotte business leaders, most prominent among them retired Bank of America Corp. CEO Hugh McColl Jr.

The MBA program will be housed at the BofA tower at Legacy Union, the 10-acre uptown site developed by Lincoln Harris that includes multiple office towers. The BofA building at 620 S. Tryon St. is a 33-story, 841,164-square-foot tower.
