CHARLOTTE — UNC Charlotte officials announced Thursday they are developing plans to have in-person commencement ceremonies to be held outdoors for its 2021 graduates.
The dates are May 13-15.
The latest state and county COVID-19 guidelines for public gatherings will be in place.

There will be strict limits on the number of invited guests based on Gov. Roy Coopers guidelines.
Cooper’s latest announcement states that there is a 30% cap for outdoor venues.

COVID-19 guidelines have been and will remain fluid over the next few months, and UNCC will make a final decision on the format on a later date.
The university will have an update on March 15.
