MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Two of North Carolina’s biggest counties -- Mecklenburg and Forsyth -- are blasting Cardinal Innovations.

Cardinal Innovations coordinates mental and behavioral health care for Medicaid patients, but Channel 9 has learned the two counties are so fed up with the company that they’re asking the state to step in.

A letter to North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen outlines years of problems, and Mecklenburg and Forsyth counties are demanding an action plan from Cardinal by Nov. 9.

Channel 9 anchor Allison Latos has been investigating these concerns for weeks.

>> In the video at the top of the page, Channel 9 anchor Allison Latos details the counties’ claims and takes them straight to the Cardinal Innovations CEO.
