Two Charlotte spots named among ‘best Southern restaurants in America'

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two Charlotte restaurants have been highlighted for their ability to dish up delectable Southern cuisine.

Dogwood Southern Table & Bar in SouthPark and The King’s Kitchen in uptown are among OpenTable’s “50 Best Southern Restaurants in America for 2018.”

Dogwood is one of multiple restaurants in the Charlotte area operated by Jon and Kim Dressler.

The King’s Kitchen in Third Ward is a nonprofit restaurant that Charlotte restaurateur Jim Noble opened in 2010, with proceeds going to feed the local homeless population.
