Iredell County Sheriff’s Office

IREDELL, N.C. — Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of copper theft on Friday night and arrested two suspects.

Ashley Jane Hubbell, 30, and Larry Edward Moore, 44, were caught on surveillance footage stealing $2,000 worth of copper material from Evergreen Heating & Air on Jennings Road.

Officials said as deputies approached, the two attempted to flee by car but got stuck in a muddy field.

The suspects were found half a mile away by a K-9 unit and were then taken into custody, according to officials.

“These arrests are a testament to the teamwork and dedication of our deputies and K-9 unit,” said Sheriff Darren Campbell.

Both Moore and Hubbell have been transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. They face charges including conspiracy, damage to property, trespass and larceny.
