Tuesday Morning closing several stores in Charlotte area on heels of bankruptcy filing

CHARLOTTE — Tuesday Morning will close more than half of its stores in the Charlotte market on the heels of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday.

The Dallas-based off-price retailer has put five Charlotte-area locations on its list of stores closing in 2023. That includes three Charlotte stores, at 442 Park Road (Park Square), 3716 W. W.T. Harris Blvd (Cheshire Place) and 14151 Steele Creek Road (Rivergate Shopping Center). Tuesday Morning will also shutter its Matthews store at 9945 E. Independence Blvd. (Windsor Square) and its Gastonia location at 1495 E. Franklin Blvd. (Akers Shopping Center).

The retailer didn’t disclose a specific closing date for the stores.

That will leave three Tuesday Morning locations in the local metro area
