CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A passenger going through a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint Monday at Charlotte Douglas International Airport was stopped after agents found a gun inside a carry-on bag.
The passenger, whose name hasn’t been released, was arrested. It's not clear if the gun was loaded.
The gun is the fourth to be confiscated at the airport in the last two weeks, and the 27th gun found at TSA checkpoints in Charlotte in 2017.
The total number of weapons found at security checkpoints in 2016 was 54, according to the TSA.
