CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews had to close a busy stretch of North Tryon Street early Thursday morning after a large truck became stuck beneath a railroad bridge.

The truck was wedged under the bridge near 16th Street around 6:30 a.m. and authorities had to close all lanes in both directions while crews worked to remove the truck.

North Tryon was closed between Dalton Avenue and 11th Street.
There was no word on injuries and officials were able to clear the road shortly after 9 a.m.
