CHARLOTTE, NC — A burning truck blocked the northbound lanes of I-77 just prior to the Sunset Road Friday afternoon.
Flames shot out of the trailer as firefighters battled the blaze.

Drivers stood next to their cars watching as fire trucks blocked both lanes.
All lanes of the highway were reopened by 11 p.m.
The cause of the fire was unclear.
