YORK COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in York County Monday evening.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Lesslie Highway near Beachwood Road, about a mile south of Rock Hill.

Troopers said 28-year-old Michael O’ Donnell was heading north on Lesslie Highway riding a Yamaha Motorcycle when a 2001 Chevy turned in front it, throwing him from the motorcycle. O’Donnell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said he was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Chevy was also injured in the collision and they were taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown.

Authorities have not said if anyone will face charges. Autopsy and toxicology test results are pending.
