YORK COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers have charged a Clover man with felony DUI causing death and injury following a fatal crash Sunday night on Baird Road in York County.
Troopers said Jonathan Malave was behind the wheel when he drove off the road, hit a ditch and flipped.
A passenger in the car was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and died. That person’s name has not been released.
Another passenger was taken to the hospital. Malave was not hurt, officials said.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m.
