The driver, Derek McClure, reached speeds of nearly 100 mph until state troopers flattened the suspect’s tires near mile marker 124 on I-40, troopers said.
The highway patrolmen changed the flat on a pickup truck that also had its rear tire flattened during that chase.
Traffic was backed up along the interstate for nearly an hour.
McClure was arrested and charged with fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle.
