Troopers: 3 dead after car slams into milk tanker truck

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are working to find the families of three young men who died in a New Year's Day crash.

Investigators are still trying to figure out if speed or slick roads caused the wreck in Buncombe County, just outside Asheville.

Troopers said a Volvo hydroplaned, slamming head-on into a milk tanker truck, which then dragged the car into an embankment.

All three in the car died on impact.
