CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning on Interstate 85 in north Charlotte, according to CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings.
Jennings identified the fallen officer as CMPD Officer Mia Goodwin. She served the University City Division.
“Rest easy hero, we have watch from here,” Jennings tweeted.
