Trials for suspects charged in 2015 stabbing death end in mistrials

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The trials of two suspects accused of murdering a man in Steele Creek ended in mistrials.

Daniel Blakeney and Tardra Bouknight were both charged with David Doyle's 2015 death.

Investigators said they found Doyle tied up, beaten and stabbed to death inside his home on Plantation Woods Drive.

Juries in Blakeney and Bouknight's trials could not reach unanimous verdicts.
