CHARLOTTE — A truck driver was taken to the hospital after the tractor-trailer he was driving flipped early Thursday along Interstate 485 in west Charlotte.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. along the inner loop near West Boulevard when the big rig went down an embankment, hit a guardrail and overturned on its side.
The driver was not seriously hurt, officials said.
The right lane of the inner loop was blocked while crews worked to remove the tractor-trailer. Around 6 a.m., all lanes were open.

Troopers are investigating but have not said yet what may have caused the crash.
