CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — A tractor-trailer fire shut down Highway 321 near Kirby Mountain Road in Caldwell County Wednesday morning, and officials expected most of the roadway to be closed for much of the day.
The fire happened around 7 a.m. and officials said the big rig was in the median.
The road is expected to reopen around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
