CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three people are seriously hurt after being shot at two separate locations Saturday night in east Charlotte, according to police.
One person was shot on East Independence Boulevard, officials said.
Two other people were shot about three miles away on Hunting Ridge Lane, according to officers.

MEDIC said all three victims have life-threatening injuries and that the shootings may be connected.
Police said they have two people detained, who are persons of interest.
No other details have been released.
