Three local breweries make debuts during COVID-19 pandemic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Opening during a pandemic is all about survival — just ask these three craft breweries.

Lost Worlds Brewing and Edge City Brewery officially joined the Charlotte beer scene, while Primal Brewery’s expansion neared completion last month.

They’ve done so at a time when taprooms across North Carolina remain closed because of COVID-19 restrictions — and revenue for breweries is limited to sales of to-go and packaged products.
