ALEXANDER COUNTY, NC — A truck carrying 5,600 chickens overturned along Highway 16 north of Taylorsville Tuesday morning.
Investigators said the driver lost control on the soft shoulder due to all the rain.
The truck rolled down an embankment and took down a utility pole.
The driver's injuries were not life-threatening.
