This local hospital is one of just a handful that will get virus vaccines first

LENOIR, N.C. — The FDA is meeting Thursday to discuss Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, and next week they’ll discuss Moderna’s.

When either or both are approved, doses will be rolled out across the country.

In the Charlotte area, only a handful of hospitals will get those doses -- and Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir is one of them. The hospital began its vaccine plans months ago.
