FORT MILL, S.C. — Thieves smashed the front door of the Cabela’s store near Carowinds and stole guns inside the store, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
An employee arrived to the store just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving a call from the alarm company. The worker walked around the store and found the smashed glass gun counter.
Deputies said guns were stolen from the gun counter, but it’s not clear how many or what type of guns were stolen.
The Cabela’s store manager was not allowed to discuss what happened or if any other merchandise was taken. Channel 9 reporter Greg Suskin reached out to the corporate headquarters in Nebraska but has not heard back.
