CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A thief stole a U-Haul truck over the weekend and used it to burglarize business across town, police said.
“It’s very upsetting,” said Jackie Vecin, co-owner of Mallard Creek Mower.

The thief is accused of stealing from many businesses including five in the university area and four in the South Division.
In each case, a U-Haul was caught on security cameras leaving the scene.
"It's very aggravating,” Vecin said. “We don't open on Sunday, but we come after church to put the trucks away and to have to spend two hours waiting for the police."
No arrests have been made.
