CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Covid-19 pandemic has no doubt rocked the restaurant industry in 2020.
Multiple spots in uptown Charlotte, including Amélie’s French Bakery & Café and The Wooden Vine, cited Covid-19 as the driving force behind their decisions to shutter this year.
With the end of the year approaching, CBJ has taken a look back at the dozens of restaurants, bars and breweries that the Charlotte area has lost over the course of 2020. Some were longtime staples, while others were relatively new to the local scene. Though many of the closures are tied to Covid, some are unrelated to the pandemic and instead the result of other factors.
