Teen inmate in custody after escaping home visit

CONCORD, N.C. — Deputies confirmed that a teenage inmate from Concord Juvenile Detention Center who took off during a home visit is back in custody.

Officials said they cannot release his full name since he is under 18 years old.    They said he goes by Phillip.

He took off Sunday at a Kmart on Highway 29.

He was taken into custody Sunday night.
