Taco shops close as restaurant group files for bankruptcy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three Charlotte-area locations of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop have closed after less than two years in operation.

Those closings came as Fuzzy’s franchisee SD Holdings LLC of Matthews and related affiliates filed on Friday for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Just a few months ago, the president of that franchisee touted plans for expansion in an interview with CBJ.
