CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was taken into custody after a SWAT team descended on a neighborhood in north Charlotte Tuesday morning.
Viewers sent Channel 9 photos of patrol cars lining the block and police in what appeared to be SWAT gear on Autumn Gate Lane off Beatties Ford Road.
According to neighbors, law enforcement swarmed the street around 7 a.m. and Channel 9 was there as they left around noon.

Police said members of CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team responded to a home on Autumn Gate Lane to serve a warrant on a wanted person. After several hours, the suspect eventually surrendered and came out of the house peacefully.
