SUV plows into side of Kings Mountain Hardee’s

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — An SUV at a Hardee’s in Kings Mountain ended up driving through the building near the drive-thru Monday morning.

It happened just around 10 a.m. Monday on E. King Street.

The Kings Mountain Police Department said “numerous customers” inside the restaurant were hurt, along with the driver of the SUV.

According to the police department, the driver and one Hardee’s employee had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver wasn’t identified.

Police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
