CRAMERTON, N.C. — Three suspects are accused of trying to carjack two people outside a Cramerton gas station Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at the Kingsway station on Market Street.
A 65-year-old woman said the trio dragged her out of her car, before trying to take it.
Sandy Murphy said they asked to use her phone then started pulling her out of her car.
"They looked so nice," Murphy said.
She said a clerk, Amanda Berry, from the store ran into the parking lot and opened the car door before the suspects jumped out and ran.
"She saved me," Murphy said.
Channel 9 was there as officers spotted one of the suspects in some nearby woods.
"Why not help if you see someone in trouble?" Berry said.
The suspects, two men and a woman were all quickly taken into custody.
