GASTONIA, N.C. — Two people were victimized during an armed robbery on Dec. 17 outside of a Gastonia law office, police said.
The Gastonia Police Department released a photo of a suspect Wednesday in hopes that the public can help identify him.

At about 6:50 p.m. on Dec. 17, police were called to the law office of Kelvin Atkinson in the 100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way because of a report of an armed robbery.
The robber approached a 40-year-old man and 37-year-old woman outside of the office building, threatened them with a handgun and stole their belongings, investigators said.
Gastonia police are searching for the armed male who was last seen running toward East Main Avenue and South Oakland Street.

He is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds, investigators said. He may be wearing a military-style identification tag, commonly known as a “dog tag.”
