Suspect in Rock Hill Subway armed robbery arrested

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Rock Hill man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Subway last year.

Antonio Coleman, 22, has been charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a violent crime, according to police documents. He was arrested Wednesday and booked at Moss Justice Center on a $600,000 bond.

The charges stem from June 14, when a clerk at Subway on Herlong Avenue reported a man came into the store, pointed a gun at him and demanded money, according to a Rock Hill Police report. The man jumped over the counter and tried to leave through the front door.

A customer walking in startled him, so he ran out the back door, the report states. He took at least $200.

Through investigation, police determined Coleman was a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest, the report states.
