Suspect charged after man found dead behind Albemarle home

ALBEMARLE, N.C. — A suspect has been charged with murder after a man was found dead Wednesday afternoon behind a home in Albemarle.

Police responded just before 4:30 p.m. to a medical call at a home on Brown Avenue and when they got there, they reportedly found a 34-year-old man dead behind the home. The victim’s name has not been released.

During the initial investigation, detectives said they were able to gather information, which led them to 31-year-old Ebrahim F. Alshaibi.

Alshaibi was located a short time later and arrested without incident. He was taken to the Stanly County Jail and received no bond for his release.

His first scheduled court date is August 23.
