CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police released surveillance pictures of the man who they believe sexually assaulted a woman near UNC Charlotte’s campus.
Officers were called around 4 p.m. Sunday to the University Crossing Apartments on University City Boulevard in reference to a sexual battery and assault on a female call.
The victim told officers that a man she didn’t know pushed her against a wall and forcibly fondled her. She said the man ran from the scene.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Hours before that assault, police received a call about a man who was able to get inside a dorm in the Greek Village on UNC Charlotte’s campus and assaulted a female student.

Police have not said if the two cases are connected.
University City Division Officers have increased patrols in the apartment complex and near the university’s campus.
