CHARLOTTE — The Stratford Richardson YMCA in west Charlotte hosted a Healthy Kids Day event on Saturday.
The free event was open to the public and lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event had a live DJ, dance entertainment, and activities like horseback and pony rides, along with a firetruck. The pool was open to families from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for open swimming.

Guests at the event also had free food and access to over 20 vendors.
Saturday’s Healthy Kids Day is part of the Y’s mission to improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
