Warriors' Curry, Hornets' Walker voted as NBA All-Star Game starters in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will start next month's NBA All-Star Game in his hometown, Charlotte.

Charlotte Hornets Kemba Walker will represent the Hornets as a starter.

Curry starred in high school at Charlotte Christian School before playing his college basketball at Davidson.

He is averaging 29.2 points per game.

Walker is leading the Hornets with 25 points per game.

Curry, LeBron James, Paul George, James Harden and Kevin Durant were named starters from Western Conference teams.

Eastern Conference players Walker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyrie Irving, Joel Embiid and Kawhi Leonard were also named starters.

Related coverage

James and Antetokounmpo are captains and will select the rosters on Feb. 7.

The NBA All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 17 at Spectrum Center.
