Steph Curry surprises 7-year-old cancer patient with hospital visit

INDIANAPOLIS (ESPN) — The Golden State Warriors were in Indianapolis Sunday, an off day as the team prepared to take on the Pacers Monday, which provided Charlotte-native Steph Curry the perfect opportunity to visit a super fan facing an uphill battle.

Curry decided to spend the day in the hospital with 7-year-old cancer patient Brody Stephens.

Stephens, who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, is an avid basketball player and a huge fan of Curry.

When the two-time NBA MVP heard about Brody's story, he swung by to pay him a visit.

The two traded laughs and autographed each other's jerseys during Curry's trip.

Brody was diagnosed with leukemia as a 1-year-old and appeared to have defeated it. But in December 2015, the disease reappeared and Brody has been battling the cancer ever since.
