STATESVILLE, N.C. — A scratch-off lottery ticket from a gas station yielded a $1 million result for one Statesville woman.

Kelly Wyatt won the seven-figure prize after playing a $30 Millionaire Maker lottery ticket she bought from Fast Phil’s on Mocksville Highway in Statesville.

Wyatt is the 25th person to win one of the $1 million prizes since the Millionaire Maker game debuted in March 2021, lottery officials said.

Wyatt chose the $600,000 lump sum over the $50,000, 20-year annuity and took home $426,069 after state and federal tax withholdings, officials said.
