CHARLOTTE — A restaurant dishing up flavors from Latin America, New Orleans and South Carolina’s Lowcountry has zeroed in on an opening date in lower South End.
State of Confusion is set to open April 17 in LoSo Village, at Clanton Road and Dewitt Lane. It will mark the second location for the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based restaurant brand — and the first outside of its home state.
State of Confusion signed on for the 9,500-square-foot restaurant space in early 2022. More than $3 million has since been invested into the Charlotte location, according to a previous CBJ story.

The two-story space will have an indoor-outdoor feel, incorporating a slightly quirky and culturally eclectic design. It’ll include a steel-covered rooftop area with cabanas, dining nooks, multiple bars, covered patios and several private event spaces. The downstairs patio will have fire pits and games.
